Something which is vitally important to understand about our dance classes - your children aren't just learning dance steps. There are in fact several life skills which are possibly even more important, and I will outline them across my posts over the next few weeks.
Firstly, they are learning how to learn and develop a POSITIVE growth mindset.

Every week they try something that feels tricky at first. We talk about practicing slowly, trying again, and noticing small improvements. Bit by bit they discover that progress happens in tiny pieces - and that effort matters more than getting it perfect right away.
Our goal is for each dancer to leave class thinking: “I can do hard things.” This may not happen every single week, but over time they will come to know this truth.
Some children show this by concentrating quietly, others by asking questions, and many by proudly showing a move they couldn't do five minutes earlier. These moments are huge - they build perseverance, confidence, and patience that carry far beyond the dance floor.
