About our Year 7+ Classes

By Yr7, if they have reached Grade 4 Ballet, we begin working on some pre-pointe exercises in preparation for Pointe work around Grade 5 if each student is ready strength-wise.

In addition to Ballet, Tap and Modern classes, students in Yr7+ have the opportunity to try Contemporary dance.

Contemporary classes encourage creative exploration of natural movements and individual style, along with a strong technique. This is a really mindful class that will benefit students' confidence and wellbeing as much as their bodies.

They may also be invited to assist with early years classes if they wish to do so as part of their personal development.

Find Our Year 7+ Dance Classes in Worthing

Our Year 7+ classes can be easily reached from Goring-by-Sea, Lancing, Littlehampton and Shoreham-by-Sea.

At Heene Community Centre the beautiful onsite cafe means you can sit with a coffee and cake (subject to cafe opening times) or simply sit comfortably whilst your child is in class.

Grace Dance is A-MAZ-ING. Miss Fiona and the teachers have created such a supportive, nurturing, happy environment - seeing them with the children is like watching magic at work. Do You Have A Question?

Can we do a taster class before we commit?

Yes, we offer a taster class before you choose to enrol.

You pay for one taster class (or several if trying various styles) after which we will send you full enrolment details.

What should my child wear?

We lend uniform and shoes for one taster class.

If you decide to enrol then you will be sent details for the appropriate uniform, which can be purchased from our online supplier or via our secondhand group.

Do parents stay on site?

We require all weekday Preschool, Reception, Yr1 & Yr2 classes to have a parent remain on site. Except for Saturdays, when we escort them on any toilet runs and between their classes.

All children of only 3 yrs must have a parent remain onsite. There is a comfortable cafe area to enjoy, and you are simply asked to make a small purchase.

Can I watch my child's class?

We do not allow parents into taster classes.

Some classes you are able to view a little through the window, but we do provide 'watching week' opportunities in most terms and will let you know when the next one is coming up.
